After Twitter Inc laid off about half of its employees on Friday following its $44 billion acquisition by Elon Musk, the company is now reaching out to dozens of unemployed employees and asking them to come back. Bloomberg News reported on Sunday.
Some of those who are being asked to reinstate were mistakenly dismissed. Others were fired before management realized their work and experience might be needed to build the new features Mr. Musk envisioned, the report said, citing people familiar with the move. said by quoting.

Twitter recently laid off 50% of its employees, including those on its Trust and Safety team, the company’s head of safety and integrity, Yoel Roth, said in a tweet earlier this week.
The team responsible for communications, content curation, human rights, machine learning ethics, as well as some product and engineering teams were hit, according to tweets by staff at the social media company.
Twitter updated its app on Apple’s App Store on Saturday, starting charging $8 for the much-demanded blue check mark. This is the first major overhaul of Musk’s social media platform.
Twitter did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment.
