39 years after marriage, Dan Aykroyd and Donna Dixon are separated.
The couple chose to stay “legally married” but “another way of life.”

“After 39 years as a couple, we are now on different paths of life. We are legally married and continue to be parents, colleagues and business partners,” the two said. In a joint statement: people.. “This is our choice in loving friendship.”
Aykroyd and Dixon met in 1983 on the “Dr. Detroit” set and got married the same year. A Canadian actor was engaged to Carrie Fisher in the early 80’s.
The couple also starred together in “Twilight Zone: The Movie,” “Spies Like Us,” “The Couch Trip,” and “Exit to Eden.”

They share their daughters Daniel (32 years old), Bell (28 years old) and Stella (24 years old).
