Astor the Dog Leaves Calgary Humane Society for Eternal Home
Article content
An eight-year-old mongrel, Astor found his eternal home over the weekend after spending nearly 500 days in the shelter system.

The loyal and cuddly puppy was handed over to the shelter in July 2021 after her previous owner did not have enough housing for her. According to Human Society staff, she has limited time to meet potential new family members because she spends most of her time with her foster family because she is stressed around other dogs. It was done.
Astor was picked up by James Campbell and his partner Chantel on Saturday.
While her stay in the shelter system wasn’t the longest tenure the Calgary Humane Society has seen, Astor has been there far longer than any other adopted pup currently out there. Describing her as a gentle giant, he said he was thrilled that she had found a good home.

The Calgary Humane Society hopes that people inspired by Aster’s adoption will sign up to become foster parents and will temporarily welcome one of the many rescued animals into their homes. Head animals are cared for through the foster program.
Society is actively recruiting foster parents and wants to welcome as many animals into temporary or permanent homes as possible during the holidays.
Recruitment of foster parents is from the homepage of the humanitarian association.
