Dakota Johnson and Cooper Leif star in the first trailer of the Apple TV + drama “Chacharial Smooth”

Dakota Johnson and Cooper Leif lead in the first trailer of “Chacharial Smooth”.

The drama comedy focuses on Andrew (Leif), a 22-year-old college graduate who struggles to understand his next move while staying with his family in his hometown of New Jersey.

The only sure thing is that Andrew knows how to start a party. It ironically brings him a job as a Balmitzer party starter for his younger brother’s classmates.

Reif, who is also a director and writer, falls in love with Dakota Johnson’s character Domino, a single mother of a child with a disability (Vanessa Burghardt).

The film also features Brad Garrett, Leslie Mann, beginners Berghart and Evan Asante.

Following his 2020 SXSW debut at Sh * thouse, which impressed Johnson, Reef is the second to stand behind the camera. She became enthusiastic about working with the director, and she was also the producer of “Chacharial Smooth”.

The following film attracted attention at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival and won the Audience Award. It was then picked up by the Apple TV +.

Talk to IndieWireLeif shared that he believes that many young people may be related to his personality.

“My 20s are very similar to Andrew’s own 20s,” he said. “I wanted to write a character that I’m not good at because it’s time to start a party myself. He’s good at setting up parties for others. And I’m involved with that.”

“ChaCha RealSmooth” will premiere on Apple TV + on June 17th and will be available in some theaters.
