Season 11, which ended airing last December, followed David’s character trying to get out of a situation where he had to build a fence around a pool after a thief drowned in it. An alternate ending to the season would have left David equally depressed.
“So Larry kept falling into the unfenced pool and hitting his head.” [for the scene]said Mitchell. “We actually took a shot after he fell. There’s just an envelope floating in the middle of the still pool, with maybe one bubble added.”

“We shot like this was the last time,” he added. “At least I had to prepare.”
Regarding how they filmed the scene, Shaffer said: According to the producer, the sentiment within his team was, “OK, if this is how we do it, this is how we do it!”
However, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” will return for its 12th season, which is good news as David told Schaffer that he was “not ready to die” on the series.
