CSV Midstream Solutions Corporation Announces Final Investment Decision for Albright Sour Gas Processing Plant, Canadian Business Journal
CALGARY, Alberta, Oct. 25, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — CSV Midstream Solutions Corp. (“CSV”) has made a final investment decision (“FID”) to proceed with the Albright Sour Gas Processing Facility (“Albright”) I am pleased to announce the ) will be built near Grand Prairie, Alberta.
Albright is located near Beaver Lodge and the communities of Wembley. This addresses the growing sour natural gas processing needs of multiple producers producing Montney and Charlie Lakes in the region, and the existing CSV of natural gas processing infrastructure at Alberta’s prolific Montney Play. It greatly enhances the platform. With 150 million cubic feet of natural gas processing capacity per day, Albright will capture and store up to 370 tons of sulfur per day, becoming the first greenfield gas plant built in Alberta in over 20 years . Completion is scheduled for late 2024.
CSV conducted extensive community engagement before proceeding with formal regulatory approval of Albright. With recent announcements, CSV is excited about Albright’s positive social impact on the region. Power plants provide opportunities for local residents and businesses during construction and subsequent operation, but the broader, long-term benefits to the local community are funded and developed by CSV, where members of the community It comes in the form of a leading non-profit organization. Local social initiatives will be the first focus of the non-profit organization. However, its ultimate mission will develop over time, with the strong influence of those most affected by Albright’s construction and operation.
