DraftKings partners with Deadfellaz for NFL player NFT
DraftKings and NFT collection Deadfellaz are teaming up for a new Halloween-themed release that will “transform 13 professional football players” utilizing Deadfellaz IP as part of a new collaboration.

The collectible cards will be available starting October 25th and players can use them in the DraftKings fantasy football Reignmakers football game, offering up to $1 million in cash prizes for competing players. His NFT of players will include Jalen Hurts, Matthew Stafford, Kyler Murray, Alvin Kamara and more. The deal was facilitated through DraftKings partnerships with NFLPA and OneTeam.

College sports platform Mercury raises $7.5M
Mercury, a college sports fan experience platform, has signed over 70 Kentucky Athletics student-athletes and is looking to scale. The NIL on-chain platform currently operates at four different universities, and last week he raised $7.5 million to continue building through his seed round led by Multicoin Capital.
Beyond expanding into new markets, the capital is expected to help Mercury round out its leadership team and NIL roster.Mercury will focus on building NFT Gate experiences and exclusive content for US college athletes doing.
Mercury has joined platforms such as Ocavu and VerifiedInk, among others, to gain traction in NIL through NFT and blockchain engagement.
Sorare Launches NBA Fantasy Beta Program
The relatively new partnership between Sorare and the NBA is quickly seeing some footprints. Sorare’s beta product for his NBA platform recently launched, showing an early delivery ahead of the start of the NBA season. Solare’s deal with the NBA and NBAPA in less than two months already brings the world’s largest basketball league under Solare’s umbrella, including European football and the MLB. Sorre’s foray into US-based sports continues.
