NEW WESTMINSTER, BC – A jury in Aydin Covan’s Supreme Court trial in British Columbia found him guilty of all charges he faced.
Cobain was accused of extortion, harassment, communicating with young people to commit sexual offenses, and possessing and distributing child pornography in connection with teenage Amanda Todd of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia.
In 2012, she was 15 when she committed suicide after posting a video describing being tortured by online harassers.
Since her death, millions of people have watched the video.
A unanimous jury verdict will be rendered the day after deliberations begin.
Coban was extradited from the Netherlands to Canada in 2020 after being convicted in Amsterdam of similar charges involving dozens of girls and a gay man.
