Sage announces new acquisitions and product updates at Transform event

Sage, a UK-based accounting, finance, human resources and payroll technology company, announced a series of new features, updates and acquisitions at the Sage Transform customer event.

The event kicked off yesterday with CEO Steve Hare stating that Sage will focus on growing the business.

“For the first time in history, we plan to organically scale Sage at unprecedented speed,” he added. The company’s revenue growth is rising and it plans to focus on the US market.

“We are somewhere £2 billion revenue (approximately 3 billion Canadian dollars)… We are very focused on scaling in the US. You can’t be successful globally without being successful here in the fastest growing market, the United States. ”

Here are the announcements from the event:

Partnership with Microsoft:

Sage has announced a new product integration with Microsoft. Customers can now submit and approve accounting and HR processes through Teams instead of the Sage Intacct or Sage People applications, reducing the need to switch solutions.

By making Sage Intacct and Sage Active available on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft customers will also be able to access Sage’s cloud financial solutions.

Walid Abu-Hadba, Chief Product Officer at Sage, said: “Earlier this year, we expanded our relationship with Microsoft by committing to host Sage Intacct and Sage Active on Microsoft Azure. You get the productivity that the Sage Intacct and Sage People apps for Teams provide.”

With the Sage Intacct app for Microsoft Teams, SMBs can simplify employee expense management and get instant visibility into submitted expenses, freeing teams from manual expense processes.

Product enhancements:

Sage is growing its global presence, expanding Sage Intacct’s core financial services to France. Multinational customers currently operating in France can use Sage Intacct to grow their business.Sage Intacct Core Finance for French Customers Will Be Available for Early Adopters Next Year

Sage Intact Manufacturing This cloud-native solution extends Sage Intacct to provide industry capabilities for discrete manufacturing and distribution companies, enabling them to streamline end-to-end operations and increase productivity.

Sage Intacct Inventory Automation Sage Intacct Customers Can Automate Inventory Trade with barcodes and mobile data capture for real-time, enterprise-wide visibility and control. Sage Intacct Inventory Automation provides cloud-based inventory management to help companies ensure proper use of inventory and inventory. It is now generally available for Sage Intacct customers in North America.

Sage Intacct Lease Accounting helps companies simplify their compliance with US ASC 842 lease accounting standards. ASC 842 requires all leases longer than 12 months to be recorded as assets and liabilities on the balance sheet. This new cloud-native solution automates the lease accounting process, including payments, lease liabilities, and right-of-use asset depreciation. Sage Intacct Lease Accounting is now available in the US as an early adopter program, with general availability expected early next year.

Sage Acquires Spherics:

Sage has completed the acquisition of Spherics, a carbon accounting solution that helps companies reduce their environmental impact.

Spherics pulls in data from customers’ accounting software and matches transactions to emission factors to create initial estimates of carbon footprint. Spherics then guides users to improve this estimate by submitting data (office details, employee commute, energy consumption) to calculate emissions.

This acquisition will help Sage achieve its goals in three ways: fighting climate change and protecting the planet. Support for SMB to reach net zero. And advocate for enabling policies.

“This is an acquisition that accelerates our ability to record our carbon emissions and track them to help us control and reduce those costs. and are very passionate about doing the right thing when it comes to the environment…about their carbon footprint, but less than 10-15% actually record it. , they’re looking for ways to make it easier to capture, and this acquisition will give us some of that capability, initially in the UK,” Hare said.

MLB Partnerships:

Sage is currently affiliated with Major League Baseball (MLB). Leading to league-wide pitching decisions and manager insights starting next year’s regular season, Sage’s “Pitcher Power Rankings” will be introduced.

The Sage’s Pitching Power Rankings will appear across MLB’s digital, social, and linear channels. Fans can track pitcher performance throughout the season with rankings featuring real-time leaderboard updates.

Sage also supports MLB’s Diverse Business Partners Program, which helps grow minority and women-owned businesses across America.
