Royal Jubilee Hospital Assistant provides patient, family, visitor, and staff friendly retail convenience services and raises funds to add hospital patient care equipment through two gift shops. Training is provided. Work with a group of experienced and enthusiastic volunteers. We are especially in need of volunteers who are interested in working weekend shifts. A parking pass is provided, but the bus stops right by the hospital. A volunteer must commit to working at least three shifts per month. Island Prostate Center guides Vancouver Island men and their families as they navigate the uncertainty of prostate cancer diagnosis. We are looking for volunteers to help with the Westcoast Motorcycle Ride to Live at Enrico’s Winery in Mill Bay on Sunday 11th September. The event runs from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, with on-site set-up starting at 7:00 am. Volunteer positions include set-up and tear-down, on-site registration, site tidying, merchandising, and 50/50 ticket sales. Volunteers will have to arrange their own transportation to Enrico his winery, and some positions will require the ability to lift and move heavier items. Scout Francophone de Victoria Benevol is required to become a French leader coaching young people aged 7 and over. This position is a fun way to enrich your practical time if you’re entering a field such as social work, education, or psychology. We operate from September to June, one night a week (Tuesdays 6-8pm, Ècole Victor-Brodeur, 637 Head St. Esquimalt) and two or three times a year.
