World AIDS Day: Elton John shares foundation’s ‘greatest joy’

For more than 30 years, the Grammy Award winner has used his voice to make the Elton John AIDS Foundation a powerful force for increasing access to HIV testing, prevention and care.

Elton argued that more needs to be done to ensure no one is left out before World AIDS Day on December 1st.

“We need to maintain the energy, momentum and conversation about HIV so it doesn’t feel like a thing of the past,” Elton told E! News in an exclusive interview. “At the Elton John AIDS Foundation, we are committed to advocating for large-scale campaigns with local partners and governments to raise awareness and end AIDS by 2030.”

According to Elton, we need to “normalize the conversation” with family and friends about safe sex, what HIV is and how to live a healthy life with it.
