Chorus to match new leads for Vernon’s holiday concert

A new director is at the helm as the AURA Chamber Choir brings the holiday sounds to the stage.

Dr. Terry Pitt-Brooke has been appointed as the new Artistic Director, renewing AURA’s mission as a premier amateur concert ensemble and responsible for developing an innovative, exciting and entertaining repertoire. He brought a deep insight into vocals and music with exciting results.

“Since his return to the Okanagan, Dr. Pitbrook has become an integral part of the region’s musical fabric, attending the Vernon Proms, conducting two choirs, and working with Opera Kelowna,” said Chambers. member Johanna de Blazin said. “His past experience as a school, church, community, and professional choir conductor and educator, as well as his experience as a singer with the Vancouver Chamber Choir, has contributed to Vernon’s position as Artistic Director of the AURA Chamber Choir. uniquely qualified him to take on his new role.”

Under his direction, the choir will perform Noëls Anciens et Nouveau at the All Saints Anglican Church on December 3rd at 7pm and December 4th at 2pm.
