Jasper Victim Services and the current Crisis Team will host the 13th Charity Golf Tournament on September 10th.
The tournament will take place at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Golf Course, where shotguns will begin and all teams will tee off from different holes at the same time.
Fundraising coordinator Jordan Tucker said:
“The continued success of this event provides support services and tools to continue to lead the victims of crime and trauma in our area.”
There are two teams on every hole in the start, three on each par 5 and a total of 156 players this year.
The day begins at 10 am and ends around 4:30 pm. At the small reception, we thank all participants for their continued support for Jasper’s Victim Services.
Throughout the course of the day, golfers will come to the hole at close-up prices with various sponsors scattered along the course.
Sponsors participating in the golf course include Patricia Street Deli, Coco’s Cafe, Earls, Liquor Lodge, Home Hardware and many other local businesses.
Silent auctions will be held online to help raise funds to support Jasper Victim Services and crisis teams.
The mission of Jasper Victim Services is to support and assist victims of crime and tragedy by providing community support programs in collaboration with RCMP.
Meanwhile, the crisis team is developing to help victims of trauma from non-criminal cases.
The aim is to ensure that both victims of crime and those who have experienced traumatic events such as car accidents and backcountry injuries are able to receive assistance even if all other options are exhausted. is.
This year, charity will continue to be a major fundraiser for Jasper Victim Services, but will be funded by the Jasper Community Team Society and will also fund the Crisis Team.
Jasper Victim Services currently has a total of 10 supporters who have agreed to volunteer with both institutions and will perform essentially the same duties as in the last few years.
All funds raised in tournaments and silent auctions will be kept separate from the Jasper Community Team Society budget.
The fund helps victims of crime and those who have experienced traumatic events to provide essentials such as meals, accommodation, travel and gas cards as needed.
