Car hits pond in Brampton

Emergency services are investigating after a car crashed into a pond in Brampton Friday morning.

Ontario Police, Brampton Fire Department and Caledon Fire Department responded to the collision in the northbound lane of Highway 410 on Mayfield Road.

The car landed in a water-filled ditch and a tow truck pulled it out.

It is unclear if anyone was inside the vehicle at the time of the collision.

Peel paramedics said there were no patients at the scene.

It is unknown how the car got into the ditch.

Highway 410 between Mayfield Road and Highway 10 was closed but has since reopened.
