Oxygen’s Serial Killer Capital: A First Look at Baton Rouge

For some, Baton Rouge is just the capital of Louisiana. But for others, he’s one of the darkest places in the country.

The city’s harrowing history is the subject of Oxygen’s terrifying two-part feature Serial Killer Capital: Baton RougeThe series, which premieres December 10, delves into the murders of more than 30 women between 1992 and 2004 and how the killers were caught.

“The beautiful city of Baton Rouge was paralyzed with terror for nearly a decade as 36 women were murdered in random and unpredictable ways across the city,” the series description says. “When the serial killer broke free, the horrific murders created confusion and contradiction, with no pattern or matching victimology.”

According to Oxygen, after hitting multiple dead ends, police make a breakthrough after “a terrifying interrogation with a serial killer.” Not only that, it was eventually revealed that several unrelated and overlapping killers had stalked the Bayeux during the same period.”
