Sony plans Marvel TV shows starting with Silk: Spider Society

The Marvel Universe is about to go big with Sony’s plans to bring the beloved big universe to the small screen. And that expansion is already underway, as the studio announced a development deal with Amazon Studios to create a “suite of live-action TV series” on November 17th.

The first line is the live action show Silk: Spider Society, followed by Korean-American superhero Cindy Moon.created by the walking dead show runner Angela Kangthe series explores the world of Cindy “escaping prison, searching for her missing family and en route to becoming a superhero known as Silk.”

The new series airs domestically on MGM+ and will also be streamed worldwide on Amazon’s Prime Video.

Kang expressed his excitement about the next chapter of the Marvel Universe, stating: I am so excited to dive into my first challenge of bringing the Korean-American superhero Silk to life on screen. ”
