UniFirst’s No. 9 Chevrolet to Feature Ruby Red Design at Martinsville Speedway for Hendrick Motorsports’ 40th Anniversary

UniFirst Corporation (NYSE: UNF), a prominent leader in providing tailored business uniform programs, facility service products, and first aid and safety services across North America, is teaming up with 14-time NASCAR Cup Series champions, Hendrick Motorsports, to make a bold statement at Martinsville Speedway on April 7. Behind the wheel of the No. 9 UniFirst Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will be NASCAR Cup Series Champion Chase Elliott, adorned in a striking ruby red paint scheme to commemorate Hendrick Motorsports’ 40th anniversary.

The race, slated to commence at 3 pm EDT, will be broadcasted on FS1. Opting for this eye-catching design, Hendrick Motorsports pays homage to the traditional 40th anniversary gemstone, infusing historical significance into the event. Notably, Martinsville Speedway holds historical significance for Hendrick Motorsports, as it marks the venue of the team’s first Cup Series victory back in 1984. The race will witness all four Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolets donning the ruby red livery, symbolizing unity and honoring the team’s enduring legacy in the sport.

David Katz, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at UniFirst, expressed enthusiasm for the special occasion, highlighting the strong partnership between UniFirst and Hendrick Motorsports. “Seeing the No. 9 UniFirst Chevy take to the track in this special, commemorative ruby red paint scheme is a testament to our strong relationship with Hendrick Motorsports and our shared commitment to excellence,” said Katz. With Hendrick Motorsports boasting 28 wins at Martinsville, the most by any team on any track, anticipation for the race is high.

Chase Elliott, clad in his customary UniFirst fire suit, aims to replicate his 2020 victory at Martinsville Speedway. Elliott expressed gratitude for UniFirst’s collaboration in celebrating Hendrick Motorsports’ four-decade-long journey in the sport. “This is going to be a big weekend for our team for sure, and I know it would mean a lot to get UniFirst and Hendrick Motorsports to victory lane,” said Elliott.

Throughout the 2024 NASCAR season, UniFirst serves as Elliott’s primary sponsor for five races, including the recent event at Richmond Raceway. Following Martinsville, UniFirst will unveil another special paint scheme at Darlington Raceway on May 12, featuring a “throwback” design paying homage to Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s No. 88 National Guard Chevy from his iconic 2014 DAYTONA 500 victory.

As the Official Workwear Provider of Hendrick Motorsports, UniFirst supplies work clothing and uniforms to the team and its sister company, Hendrick Automotive Group. UniFirst’s partnership with Hendrick Motorsports, now in its eighth year, underscores the company’s commitment to excellence and innovation in the NASCAR arena.

Headquartered in Wilmington, Massachusetts, UniFirst Corporation (NYSE: UNF) continues to elevate workplace standards with its extensive range of uniform and workwear programs, facility service products, and first aid and safety supplies and services.
