BTS band member Jin is reportedly planning to begin his mandatory military service in South Korea next month.
A source with direct knowledge of the situation confirmed the news to CNN and said Jin will begin his military service at Yeoncheon Army Base in northern Gyeonggi Province on December 13.
The confirmation came after Jin joined Weverse, a South Korean mobile app that specializes in artist-fan communication for musicians, on Thursday, telling fans to stay away from his military training center.
“There has been a report against my will, but our military (BTS fans) should not come to the training center.
“It’s very dangerous because there are many other people coming besides me. I love you, military.

Last month, it was revealed that all seven members of the popular K-pop band would serve mandatory military service under South Korean law, prompting an argument to exempt them for their artistic achievements. An end has been struck.
Their management company, Big Hit, also revealed that the band members “look forward to reuniting as a group around 2025 following their commitment to service.”
