Britney Spears has joined other celebrities and politicians to call for action against gun violence.

Musicians responded to news of a tragic shooting that claimed the lives of 19 children and two adults at an elementary school in Texas on Tuesday.

Spears went to Instagram to express her sympathy.

“My heart has shattered,” she wrote. “I was at a loss. My prayers are with the victims of Rob Elementary and their families. Condolences and condolences are not enough.”

But the pop singer didn’t stop there and sought change to prevent further tragedy.

“We have to take action,” she continued. “We need change. Be sloppy. Even if it’s not enough to heal the loss, we continue to pray.”

Other celebrities like Olivia Rodrigo and FINNEAS have spoken on social media about the need for gun control laws following recent mass shootings.
