The struggling Toronto Blue Jays left-handed Yusei Kikuchi was put on the 15-day injured list due to neck tension.

The Blue Jays recalled right-handed Max Castillo from Triple A Buffalo before the match in Seattle on Thursday and were on Kikuchi’s list.

Kikuchi (3-5, 5.12 ERA this season) has recently made a series of bad starts. On his last outing in Auckland on Tuesday, he walked five batters and hit two in just 2.1 innings.

Kikuchi’s next start was Sunday in Seattle.

The Blue Jays have signed a three-year off-season $ 36 million contract with Kikuchi.
