Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer is back from the injured reserve and will be in action ahead of the team’s series opener against the Baltimore Orioles, the team announced Monday.
The 32-year-old Starr was on 10 days of IL for inflammation in his right elbow.
Springer is third on the team with 18 homers this season and fifth on the team with 49 RBIs. 251 batting average.
The four-time All-Star, who hasn’t played since Aug. 4, has appeared in 89 of the team’s 113 games this year.
Springer missed two games at the start of the year due to a non-COVID illness, and missed three more in late June due to elbow discomfort.
The Blue Jays have lost four of their last five games, including two to the Orioles last week.
