Blue Jays Kikuchi can’t find a plate in Major Setback vs. Athletics

After a bounce performance against the Tampa Bay Rays last week, Yusei Kikuchi seems to have finally been able to build something for the start of the Oakland Athletics match on Tuesday.

Unfortunately for the Toronto Blue Jays left-handed players and fans of the team, we couldn’t find a version of Kikuchi last week anywhere.

It was a long-awaited rebound after failing to pass 5 innings on each of his previous 5 starts.

Now, the Blue Jays need to understand Kikuchi’s next three-year, $ 36 million contract in the off-season.

The Blue Jays, who lost four games in a row on Tuesday, have major problems with the rotation and the start of the bullpen.

Kevin Gausman is unlikely to make his next start in Seattle on Thursday after not having a bullpen session on Tuesday. He injured his ankle in a cambacker against Tampa last Saturday.

Casey Lawrence, who pitched in Triple A for most of the year, could be a potential replacement for Gausman.

The next turn of Kikuchi’s rotation will be against his old team in Seattle on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Alek Manoah and Ross Stripling are on the verge of the worst two outings of the season, while José Berríos has been fighting contradictions throughout the season.
