In its weekly COVID-19 “snapshot” issued Thursday, Ottawa Public Health said circulating levels of COVID-19, as well as other respiratory viruses such as influenza and RSV, remain high.

“Due to ongoing data system changes, data on new COVID-19 hospitalizations are not included in this week’s snapshot,” the agency said.

OPH noted a total of 40 ongoing COVID outbreaks in Ottawa, which are believed to be at moderate levels and slowly declining.

OPH continued to emphasize the importance of wearing a properly fitting mask indoors and/or in crowded public spaces.
