E! The news asks Big Sean and Gene representatives for comment, but no response.

The announcement comes almost two years after Big Sean released a single titled “Deep Reversence” that mentioned miscarriage. He didn’t name Gene in the lyrics, but fans interpreted the lyrics as about a couple.

“I should be a millionaire based on the vacation I haven’t taken,” he raps on the track. “Maybe why did the people around me get hooked and lost their baby?”
