This video introduces fans to the magazine’s editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, photographer Rafael Pavarotti, and the superstar’s own vision of a “glittering retrofuturism.” This shoot refers to the metaphor of club life from the mid-1980s to the Millennium, co-styling by Marni Senofonte, incorporating “everything from Harris Reed’s headdress to Schiaparelli haute couture.”

Beyonce’s interview with Eninful was the first to find out what fans could expect from the singer’s long-awaited seventh studio album and six-year-old solo album. Renaissance.

Eninfur shared that Beyonce brought a long creative process to the pandemic. It gave her “a much longer time to think and rethink all the decisions. As she likes.”

“New music is coming. It’s thrilling music,” the singer told the editor.

Eninfur described the project as “music that excites you, focuses on culture and subculture, people of the past and present, music that connects many on the dance floor, music that touches your soul.”

Eninful said the music’s “rising vocals and fierce beats” “returned him to my youth club.”

On Thursday, Beyonce went to Instagram on Thursday and told her followers about the inspiration behind her next album. Renaissance.. The singer shared the cover art of the album, wore a silver bikini, and sat on a horse made of mirrored tiles like a mirror ball.

“By creating this album, I was able to dream and find an escape route in a terrifying time for the world. I felt free and adventurous when others were barely moving.” She capped the photo. “My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place without perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release and feel free. It was a beautiful exploration journey.”

“I hope you enjoy this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggles. Ha!” She added. “And feel as unique, strong and sexy as you.”

Fans can “wiggle” when: Renaissance Drop on July 29th.
