Tory didn’t campaign for the cut

On “Toronto’s Massive Tax Increases, Service Cuts Without Support: Tory” (Antonella Artuso, Nov. 10): I don’t remember reading it in the campaign literature (of Mayor John Tory). It’s amazing how things change as soon as a politician is elected. There’s not even an excuse that the incumbent didn’t know what the book looked like before the election.

(And it’s not that he didn’t know that the city’s budget had a huge deficit during the election.)

Trudeau is not a man

It’s one thing after another with Justin Trudeau, isn’t it? By yielding again to his Peking peers and his admiration for their “basic dictatorship.” Trudeau has been informed in clear terms by our security agencies about his CCP interference in our country. This is serious, but he does nothing. why? what is the problem this time? But more than that, when will all Canadians wake up to Trudeau? Is this the person Canadians need? The next election to oust this dangerous fool cannot come soon.

(No, he’s not the person we need, and what a shame Trudeau has to be lectured by everyone about media leaks that China’s leaders have.)

No change

A strange logic was demonstrated by these activists. They believe that by desecrating the masterpiece, the public will be motivated to accelerate climate change solutions. I don’t think we’re going to close a single coal power plant just because we did.

(These protesters are idiots. No, China and India will not be moved by these ridiculous acts.)

what about the rest?

On “Ununionized City of Toronto Workers to Get Their Jobs Back” (Antonella Artuso, Nov. 8): Unionized employees are forced to join unions to get their jobs back. They were all fired for the same reason, so why is one group treated differently than the other? It looks like (or doesn’t even mention), but there are still many people who have lost their jobs and are currently being pushed to the curb simply because they are not unionized. Sounds like discrimination to me.

(It is unfair and they should be reinstated as well)

Masking details

I can’t believe you’re making another argument for mask mandates. If RSV was a common virus that caused mild cold-like symptoms in children, what has changed? Are we no longer able to fight off even the most common viruses? Now is not the time to put us back into our protective bubble, but to reinvigorate our bodies’ natural immunity to fight off common viral infections again. It’s time to give it a chance to get it back.

(these are very fair questions, no science denying them)
