Avril Lavigne and Mod Saint tease the possibility of a wedding in France

Pop-punk princess Avril Lavigne was proud of Canada for playing a medley of hits throughout her career, leading up to her first smash single, “Complicated,” in 2002. She followed the classic with her 2022 single “Bite”. “I” in her latest album is Love Sux..

Lavigne also played the “Girlfriend” and “Sk8er Boi” segments, ending things with the emotional expression of “I’m With You”.

Lavigne, meanwhile, often celebrates off stage and has recently been engaged to musician Derek Smith, who goes by the name of Mod Sun. The singer shared her photo on the Instagram carousel of her engagement at the City of Lights on March 27th. The picturesque proposal was completed with the Eiffel Tower in the background.

Following the news of their engagement, the lovers celebrated at a Paris-themed engagement party. It also featured multiple Eiffel Towers, cappuccinos and pink berets.

After showing off the heart-shaped rocks to Morgan Hoffmann of ET Canada on the Junos Red Carpet, Ravine and Modsan revealed whether they intend to continue the French theme for upcoming weddings.

“Maybe,” Mod Sun revealed before his fiance added. “Maybe we don’t have a plan yet. We just got engaged. We’re on tour now.”

Lavigne and Mod Sun started out as colleagues when they co-authored the single “Flames” in January 2021 and co-starred in the music video for the song. The two made their first red carpet debut at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards.
