The Stoney Lake property is located within the Exploit Subzone Goldbelt of Capelay/Valentine Lake Structural Trends in central Newfoundland, along the prolific Dog Bay line and parallel to Newfound Gold’s Queensway project. The project covers 13,625 hectares and lies on a favorable trend of 27 kilometers between his Moosehead discovery at Sokomon to the immediate northeast and the Valentine Lake deposit at Marathon to the southwest. Excellent infrastructure exists on the project land and surrounding areas.
The drill program at Jumper’s Pond consisted of eight diamond-drilled holes totaling 2,919 meters. The borehole was designed to track the very broad mineralization encountered at hole JP21-022 during the 2021 drilling season. This belt intersects a 127.4 m band of continuous gold mineralization, averaging 0.61 g/t over the length of the belt. .
Highlights of the 2022 drill program shown in the video include Hall 29 at 31.75 meters returning an average of 1.52 g/t gold from 239 meters and an average return of 1.88 g/t gold from 225 meters. Includes 30 holes of 27.35 metres. Further evidence of consistent gold values is the fact that most of the intersections to date show reasonably consistent gold concentrations within each intersection.
