“America’s Got Talent” Season 17 has reached the live rounds, and the performance is bigger and better than ever.

After more than two months of audition episodes, the best members are back in front of the judges once again for the first night of this season’s live qualifying rounds, this time at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.

This means that the pressure to deliver in a big way is even higher than it used to be, with some of the night’s hopefuls being voted on by the judges and, more importantly, who will make the home viewing. We really brought our A-game in the hopes of impressing everyone.

From acrobatic groups to vocal powerhouses to surreal contortionists, here are the acts who put on Monday’s most impressive performances.

Did. The performance set the bar high for the acts that followed and absolutely wowed the judges.

Ava Switzerland

This young singer’s voice is impressive enough to earn her place in the live rounds, but her inspiring and emotional storyline makes her performance even stronger. But few bring the kind of showmanship and timing to their act that Ukrainian acrobat Oleksandr Yenivatov showed on Tuesday’s show, blending comedy with surrealism and horror to bring the acting talent and physicality to life. A stunning demonstration of ability he put together in one, already worthy of his Vegas show.

“What I loved about tonight was you really pushed yourself and did something I’ve never seen before,” Cowell shared. “For me, that’s what a live show performance is all about. It’s like nothing you’ve seen before and you talk. It was really good!”

“I can’t believe half of what I see. I can’t believe it,” surprised Heidi Klum. “It’s insane to look forward and backward at the same time. It’s so weird. It’s so weird. Weirdly I want to see more.”

players choir

Avery Dixon

The Golden Buzzer winner proved he’s a true force of nature when it comes to music with his epic saxophone performance of Stevie Wonder’s “Higher Ground.”

Drake Milligan

Drake Milligan, already dubbed “the Elvis of country music,” wowed audiences and judges with his original song “Kiss Goodbye All Night.”
