Aerosmith announced on Tuesday that lead vocalist Steven Tyler voluntarily went into rehab after a recurrence after foot surgery.

Tyler has been open to fighting substance abuse for over a decade. According to the recovery spotlight of the American Addiction Centers, he first calmed down in the 1980s and then relapsed in the early 2000s. He recently sought treatment in 2009.

“As many know, our beloved brother Stephen has been working on his drinking for many years. After foot surgery to prepare for the need for pain management during the stage and process. He recently relapsed and voluntarily participated in a treatment program focused on health and recovery, “said the statement.

As a result, the band will cancel the first set of Las Vegas settlements set to take place in June and July of this year.

In April, Tyler told ET that he was particularly excited about their upcoming stay. “It’s right there and the crew doesn’t have to shut it down and put it back in,” he said in comparison to a traditional tour. “It’s good, it’s fun.” The singer even hinted that they might have some new songs to debut for their fans.

However, for now, the audience has to wait until the performance resumes in September. The band is currently working on ticket refunds.

“Thanks for your understanding and support for Stephen during this time,” the band’s statement concludes. The Instagram announcement displayed a message about support for the Tyler and #StevenStrong hashtags.
