A man sentenced to two years in prison for hit-and-run in Toronto, who killed a 17-year-old girl-Toronto

The man was sentenced to nearly two years in prison, hit-and-run in Toronto for seven years, killed a 17-year-old girl and injured his sister.

Sean Ramsey was sentenced Thursday in connection with the June 7, 2020 clash between Kiel Street and Calvinton Drive in North York.

In December 2020, Ramsey pleaded guilty and admitted to driving an SUV that attacked his teenage sister early in the morning.

As Ramsey turned left into Calvinton Drive, he drove both Olivia and Julia Saracini at the pedestrian crossing. Julia was thrown a short distance. Olivia was thrown a few meters.

Heading west on Calvinton Drive, Ramsey drove Olivia, who was lying on the road.

Ramsey braked for a short time, but then escaped at high speed.

Olivia died on the scene.

Two days after the clash, Ramsey left himself to the police.

Before making the decision, he made a statement and greatly apologized to the victim’s family.

Ramsey’s imprisonment is less than two years and three days, taking into account pretrial prison hours. He also underwent two years of probation.

Justice of the peace found that the fact that Ramsey attacked two people instead of one at the crosswalk was part of the exacerbation factor. Ramsey also faced a driver’s license before, and his license was suspended in the event of a collision.
